Lofrans Windlass Foot Switch not working

My up switch on the bow is not working. The down switch on the bow works and both up and down from the cockpit works. I took the switch apart today and there is nothing there that can go bad. I assume the Control Box or relay is the culprit. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem. There should be contact from the pedal to a washer that will need to be cleaned. Just make sure that you disconnect power or you could spark. I cleaned my with wire brush, reassembled and it works perfect.

Take it apart again and use a burnishing tool (or fine file) to clean the corrosion off the contacts. BTW, make sure you're careful not to drop the nuts down into the anchor locker. It's a PITA to retrieve anything you drop. Don't ask me how I know.

I took the switch apart, the connections are all clean. I even tried jumping across the two metal pieces in the bottom and nothing.

control box should be ok because it works from helm switch. your foot switches are connected to control box (parallel with cockpit switch) and most likely you have bad connection there (or wire come out)

That makes sense thanks. I will get the multimeter out and check for voltage to and from.
