The areas I'm familiar with, roughly mid 70's. In the "flats" of Lake St. Clair, 80's are common.Beautiful area. I have never been to the great lakes. I notice a lot of people are swimming. What is the typical water temp in the summer?
I realize the limited season is probably the main reason.
I agree that when we are in SoCal there are sooooo many sweet boats that just sit ini the harbors. I see it in the bay are too but not to the extent I do in SoCal. The group we cruise with are very active and get out on the water at the drop of a dime!I am going to make an observation here that others on this site probably already know; boaters in the midwest and east coast are more passionate about getting on the water and actually using their boats. I realize the limited season is probably the main reason. In my marina in so-cal of about 300 boats, there are approximtely 10% active users. Other's come down to use their boat as an overnight condo, but rarely leave the dock.
