I have a friend from NJ that is a tugboat Captain.
My friend Capt.Wally is on the tug Coastline Girls. :thumbsup:

You can go here and track any ship in the world.

Not to burst your bubble, but the link for that has been on the top of the home page for several years, check out "Realtime AIS".

I thought that it was neat to track my friend and I was sharing it with you guys . :smt001.

THANKS WAYNE...:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Big Pete & Bill Thanks :smt001 , I thought I did something wrong. :huh:

Thank You for the info! I missed it on the home page. I was trying to locate the head waters of the oil spill and it becomes pretty apparent when you see the big cluster of ships just milling around.

Sorry Wayne, didn't mean to imply that anybody did anything wrong, just wanted to point out the line in on the home page. I find the site interesting as well. I also agree with the comment about pirates.

So just exactly how does this interesting but limited tracking tool help pirates?:huh: I've tried to use it to track voyages of interest ie the ones that have my businesses containers on them, but with extremely limited success, except on approach and departure from port. That of course is the nature of AIS and how the information is received.
