Folks, I'm in the process of getting some of my winter projects done while waiting for repairs. I want to replace my belts. I've gotten the alt belt off but I can't seem to figure out how to remove the raw water pumps belt. Can someone please tell me how to adjust the pump so that the belt can be removed.

There should be a long bracket that goes under the circulating pump and ends near the alternator with a sloted end near the alternator, one bolt in it to loosen then there is a bolt that ges through the raw pump also needs loosening. There is not much play there and its a b#$%h to get leverage on the pump to retighten it while getting a wrench on the bolt to tighten it.You may need advil later.

I can feel the one bolt but not the other. Hampton Marine Services is due to replace the impellers on both engines tomorrow (and exhaust manifolds) on the port. Maybe I will just let them do it while they are in there

Do you have resonator kits in your exhaust hoses? I'd have them throw in a set while it's apart if I were you.
