Here is a nice little upgrade that I did in my salon. The television was moves, and I created a liquor cabinet in its place.
The old CRT was removed and replaced with a flat panel LCD. The flat panel is installed above the mirror at the wall between the salon and the forward state room. Others have placed this flat panel on the wall between the salon and the master head, just forward of the galley.
Anyway, the question was - "What to do with the now emply space above the refrigerator"
So I had a door made from formica to match the Vitricor. It's not an exact match, but it is pretty close. Here is a picture.
Here is a closer view.
I then purchased a black wine rack and secured it inside the cabinet. And here is the interior.
If I am traveling on a day that I know will be lumpy, I place a small pillow inside the door before closing it so that the bottles can't slide around or move at all.
