Looking to go to Traverse City, Suttons Bay, Leeland, Manitou Islands area. Any recomends for a must see. Looking for a poss. trip to the islands if worth it. We are looking at spending 7-10 days in the area

I don't believe you'll miss a thing, make sure you stop into Elk Rapids, it's a great Harbor, and the little town will amaze you, we Love it, Leland just upgraded there whole Marina, so that's a plus, are you trailering the 27 up there or taking the whole ride via water?

trailering.. want to maximize the time up there and nice to have a vehicle for running around.. did the inland water way from crooked lake to the Mackinaw Island last year and loved it. Not sure if possible but we are going to try and top that this year around the Travers Bay and Manitou Islands.. Heard there was some ship wrecks around the islands you can go over and such, so i'm just tring to see what there is to offer

South Manitou Island has a shipwreck sticking out of the water. It is visibal from "Satelite View" and google earth. Great snorkling over the superstructure. Lat 44* 59' 48.0" N ... Long 86* 8' 32.0" W

As far as on land goes in Traverse City, go to eat at North peak, great local restaurant and they have their own beer they brew, close to the water and some nice scenery along the Lake front road.

Come on up... lot's to see,do. Cherry Festival first full week of July, town is pretty crazy then. We birth on West bay at Elmwood Twnshp Marina, transient slips available there, as well as downtown at Clinch Marina. PM me if you would like other data. Great snorkeling in the bay over numerous wrecks, H2O gets around 70+ F by the middle of July..
