LightHouse Charts

Not sure what the bad and ugly are. I like Lighthouse Charts. You can choose goggle earth photos for your chart of many land masses which is cool, but you can turn off the photo part over water and make those various colors. I use blue and display depths and contours. This makes the display more understandable. You can put too much info on the display and the detail gets in the way. You can click on chart icons and get a text box explaining what you are seeing. Or you can make the display look like an old fashion electronic chart with whatever colors you like. I've only gained about 60 hours of experience with this software and I'm still learning. I'll know a lot more this time next year. There is a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure out the basics you reach an inflection point and understanding picks up quickly. Make sure you buy the Platinum chip as this has all the details that you will want to learn to use.

So I got a new Raymarine c97 and it came with a card to load up Lighthouse charts. I also have a navionic card.

What is the good, bad and ugly of lighthouse?

I'm thinking the ugly is I'm the only boater to buy the product.
