Light Fixture Question

I don't have any like that on my boat but just a thought--can you grab the fixture by the outside bezel ring and twist it, or just pull gently straight down

I was thinking the same, do they usually have a mount inside that they lock into?

There are two spring clips holding it in. Pull down while trying to capture the clips as they come through the hole in the ceiling. If not, they will snap down and pinch your fingers like a mousetrap. Looks like one of the clips is broken, they are famous for that also.

Thank you, i will try to do that without damaging the fingers! On another note, did you ever repurchase the clips online?

It's actually not the clips that break but the tab on the fixture. I have a couple like that but they aren't hanging down so I didn't look into a fix.

You can fix this problem with a paperclip. Search on here to find directions/pics.
