lewmar concept 0 windlass motor parts

I have a lewmar concept 0 windlass. Has anyone had any luck getting parts for the electric motor. I called lewmar and they were no help at all. They said you should just buy a new one. Im sure the motor was manufactured by someone else just not sure who. Thanks in advance

Hello, I have a 87 300WE and my Windlass motor is not working and I am from Toledo, Ohio. LOL!!! I was told about a scrap yard near the Michigan Line named Fisher's. Google that info and see what you find out....Let me know if you can't find it.......I will get the contact info from my friend.

I ended up taking it to lachmiller's at 5115 lewis yesterday. He is going to call me when he gets to it about 2 days he said. I will let you know what he says. The guy at the counter said he will be able to fix it. I was at fishers yesterday looking for some other stuff but didn't check on the windlass motor since I had already dropped it off. There is also another salvage called checkers in temperance if your ever looking.

They called me from lachmillers today. He is replacing both bearings, all 4 brushes, cleaning it up and resetting the magnets. All of this for 58 bucks.
