I'm looking for options to dress up my dock area at night. Mostly for aesthetic purposes. I found this.
www.luminautic.com

Pretty cool so I thought I would share. they sent me a sample and its much brighter than I thought. No drilling and no running electric.

Any other good options out there?

Those dock cleat lights would have save me a couple broken toes and pealed toenails over the years.

Haha. I'm sure. I remember that one time i mis-judged the seawall one night in Ft. Lauderdale and fell in between the tied up boat and barnacle encrusted seaway. Emergency room visit! These lights may have helped.

If you try them out please post a review. That is something we could definitely use for our dock.

My worst was at a marina that had black painted cleats. When we tied up I said to my wife "What a stupid colour to paint dock cleats. Someone is going to trip over one at night." 10 hours and a far too many wobbly pops and don't I nail one right on the bare big toe. Pealed the nail back and I am sure cracked the bone the way it swelled up.

I like those glowing tips for the cleats, but I think they may fall off with tieing on lines if not glued on.

The glowing cleat tips is what I have. My cleats have a slight curve to them, so it would be best to put them on with some type of adhesive. I'm surprised something like this didnt exist already. The company claims that two or more elements (on the periodic table) are combined to cause the everlasting glow. They say it will never wear off and the polyurethane material will degrade before the glow ever fades. Considering it doesnt need any maintenance, I thought its worth a shot. Here is my official google review for those that asked. "These lights are pretty cool. My first impression is that they are much brighter than I was expecting. I have the cleat cover and dots. Both are very high quality. It's important to note that these will not illuminate an area, but is great for safety."

Nice!
