Left over new 08 dancer

Morning Ziekman, not sure about the 330, I believe the 350 evolved from the 340 in 09. There may have been a few at the end of 08. For that matter, DTS was new in 08...I stumbled across an 07 with factory DTS.

Redlined - has this boat you are looking at ever been in the water, registered, from a sea ray dealer? What percentage off (not including the effect of any trade) of the "list" manufacturer's suggested pricing is your bottom line price? If the answer to above questions are no, no, yes and less than 45 or 50% off, then I think you've got a sweet deal, and if you are in love with the boat, then go for it!!!

Where in CT are you?

Sounds like a great boat at a great price. Someday for me I hope....

Is this boat at a Sea Ray dealer?

If it is, don't treat him like a crook and try going in the back door with Sea Ray. Be up front with the dealer and ask him all the questions you have about delivery dates, whether the boat is sold with a title or MSO, etc. (He can't sell it with new boat warranty unless he has the MSO). There is no upside in starting off a dealer relationship as an adversary.

My guess is that you have foud a boat that the dealer has had to pay off and can no longer floorplan. He just needs it gone to free up his cash to buy new boats.

I have the '03 340. The genny pulls from the Starboard tank. There is no cross over, which I find annoying. I run it frequently and it does make a noticeable difference over time.

On the 380, the Starboard tank is slightly larger to accomodate fuel usage by the generator. Is that the case on the 340s? Sorry 'bout the hijack....

I bought my '07 320 last year as a leftover. Boat was brand new. The dealer was AWESOME about making sure the boat was ready to go on purchase day. And, of course, the price was great too. So far, there has only been a couple of minor issues, but none with the motors or generator. The dealer even rode with me down the James, up the Bay, and up the Rappahanock to her new home. About a 6 hour trip on his day off.

No way the 08 340 did not come with a generator.

Warranty is warranty.Drain the fuel and refill and run her.

Webster...treat him like a crook????

I'm interested only in verifying that the boat is brand new, never registered.

Turns out it is and fully warrantied. This is an organization that I have never dealt with or met the folks personally.

Nothing underhanded here at all, thank you. Just doing some background checking.

You had a recommendation from someone to get the HIN#, call Sea Ray and ask a bunch of questions about the boat's history..............

My point is, as you figured out, that if the boat will be transferred to you under an MSO (manufacturer's statement of origin) it means that it is indeed a new and never titled boat and you get full manufacturer's warrenties on everything from the in service date or your date of purchase.

No. Same size tank on Port and Starboard.
