have 96 40 sedan bridge wondering if any one changed light bulbs to LED ?

Do a search and you may find a thread. If not go to superbrightleds.com

We're slowly changing our over to LED.
The online LED store are flaky at best.
So far bad luck buying online.
We've been buying the bulbs in person at our local RV dealer.

Changed all the bulbs in boat and navigation. Bought them on Ebay. came from China. Most Festoon bulbs were $1.00 for 2 and the G4 were $1.00 each. Bought a total of 42 bulbs all went well with shipment and order was as I ordered.

Do you still have the information for the ebay seller?

I bought from Super Bright LEDS.....

The festoon bulbs I bought for the Perko Cockpit lights and the rear running light were 4210-CWHP3; that's in the cool white color.

The bulbs for the Nav lights need to be red and green color to keep the light from appearing pink and very light green...they are 67-R15 and 67-G15.

I ordered the festoon type 4412's from Super Bright, and they fit the perko cockpit lights, but are alittle long. I think Doms will fit best. I was wanting more leds for more light.
The code for the leds is, the first two numbers (44) represent the length of the bulbs in mm's. The second two numbers (12) represent the number of led lights in the bulb. I hope that doesn't confuse everyone.

I am not sure about this LED light thing. Its definitely a boating trend right now, though. I went through the whole LED lighting replacement process for my 5 cockpit/arch lights and after several trials and errors and returns I am out about $20 in wasted shipping and I have two LEDs I am happy with (for the arch lights). And I am not really that happy with them because they are blue and the bugs swarm to them like bees to honey. I have read even the white LED lights give off enough blue wavelength to draw the bugs.

My advice is find someone local who has done it. Go spend some time on their boat at night and see how you like it and then buy the exact part they used. Message board recommendations and online ordering may not be the most cost effective approach (at least it wasn't for me).

Superbright LED is based in St. Louis. I can just pick them up at their warehouse which is really pretty large.

I have a Sedan Bridge and did the same thing 'highball' did....Ebay from China...cheap!

Depending on the area you have to choose between warm white and cool white.
I think I used warm white except in the Heads (I also added a light fixture in each Head and made the Admiral real happy).

I think I replaced 12 lights (bulbs) in the salon...got plenty of brightness/light.and reduced my DC amp draw from 10 to 2...

As I recall (did this last year) I had to shorten/cut th legs on the Chinese G4 bulds to fit my fixtures ( snipped off 1/4"or so of each leg )
