2003 Sundancer 260. Still on the blocks. Looks like I have a leaky trim pump hose, there's a milky fluid in the reservoir. I drained and refilled and the trim pump worked for a bit but I could observe fluid dripping out of the transom drain hole. Now to find out where the leak is and which hose it is and how to replace.
The pump is good.
I found a handy video on Youtube and will try to tackle this on the weekend.
It says it can be done without removing the stern drive.
Anyone else have experience doing this repair?
Thanks.
Here's the video.

Do you know where it's leaking?

The 2 lines from the pump go down through the transom to a junction box on the bottom of the drive ... then the 4 lines go from there to the trim cylinders. You can replace that w/o removing the drive as long as the boat is out of the water.

Phil thanks. I plan on removing the hoses from the trim pump and pouring a bit of fluid into each one separately to see which hose is leaking...hoping that will ID the leaker.
I will pull that manifold in the photo also.
Yes, boat is out of the water on blocks now.

Get the hoses ahead of time, replace both and be done with it.

The hoses are two different colors for a reason
What reason @scoflaw? I really like @techmitch ’s suggestion. It saves ALL the research time, and if one hose is leaking, you know the second one is going to start leaking the weekend after next…..

If replacing hose, replace them both at the same time and order / replace that manifold / block, too. They all age together.

I don't know, but suspect those hoses would show leaking as the trim system oil squirting around someplace. Think hi pressure hydraulic hose leak....

I would be more inclined to suspect a a leaking trim piston on the drive, or somehow water leaking above the pump and running into it somehow.

If it were me, I'd replace all the hoses if you have to take it apart anyways. And I'd also do the two solenoids since those eventually go. At $20/ea they are actually one of the only cheap things you'll ever buy for this drivetrain

Good advice above, as the leak could be anywhere along the hoses, or even on the pump itself and just running down the hose into the bilge. So it helps to find the leak if you can. I had a leak once that turned out to be the big o-ring in between the white reservoir and the black pump. Also could be the yellow cap is cracked or not sealing properly, or a few other things.
