I am losing water from my water tank into the cabin bilge. It is not consistent as sometimes it leaks to empty but other times just down to a quarter tank. I looked at the install diagram and see no connections in the lower part of the tank. The actual tank cannot be inspected without taking up the salon floor. I guess inmy mind I'm convinced it's leaking but hopeful someone has a different answer. I am running away from having to take up that salon decking.

There was a post on this very issue awhile back. Think they had to take the tank out to facilitate the inspection and repair. Good luck

Can you get to the top of the tank where the fill and outlet pipes are?

On my 340, I had a crack in the outlet elbow (PVC part). MM mechanic said it was a common problem. I have not had it happen on my 410...

I have a 1998 400DA. It is very common for the water takes on these models to crack, I'm sure it was not only on the 400. I just had a new tank made and installed. It's kind of pricey but it had to be done,my dealer contacted the original manufacturer to have it done. Mine had been repaired but the repairs don't seem to last.
You really just need to replace it. The peace of mind is worth it.

How do you know the leak is from the tank, rather than the hose from the tank to the water pump?

There are access hatches over the fill and supply hoses which are all on the top of the tank. There doesn't appear to be any other connections to the tank sides. The tank leaks down to a 1/4 so I've been assuming that the leak is somewhere between a 1/2 and 1/4. I have been running away from this job because it appears that the sofa against the aft bulkhead must be completely diss-assembled to remove the tank. There is no Sea Ray dealer in the BVI, the closest is in Puerto Rico and I want to make sure the job is done right and my salon properly re-assembled.
