Leaking underwater exhaust

I have a 310 DA year 2000 with twin 5.7 MPI. My mechanic tells me we have a leak coming from the port underwater exhaust. Anyone have any info on how this part is attached to the hull and how to stop the leak.

There are 4 screws that go into the bottom. My friends 450 Express Bridge had one come loose, probably hit something. He had a bent screw. He used some underwater marine caulk and replaced the screws in the water. Can be done but was not easy. Easier to deal with at haul out time.
