I have a 1995 300 Dancer and it appears the Port windows are beginnin g to leak. They are oval shaped any idea on where to purchase seals?

Have you looked at www.fpmarine.com ?

thanks for the quick reply, I have not looked any where just started noticing leak when recent rains came throug and I have moved aboard during the week. Boat had been in a covered slip until recently

I had port hole leaks last year in my 95 270DA. There is a long thread somewhere on it. First steps suggested were to thoroughly clean the surface of the gaskets, check that the screws on the dogging latches were still tight, then put rags under the ports and test for leaks. That helped but not completely: I ended up having all the ports reb-bedded and caulked. MM charged about $200 and did a good job.

Good luck!

Are you sure the little tightening screws (small flathead screws in dog levers) in the window dogs are tightened against the glass?

This will keep the glass snug, if properly adjusted evenly.

Here's what they look like... I adjust mine about every 6 months.

I would adjust the screws on the dog latches as suggested along with cleaning the seals and hitting them with a little silicone lube before replacing them. I do this to mine every few years and still have the original seals.

My 1997 250DA does not have the little set screws. The levers seem to be tight. One of my portholes is leaking, mostly when I hit it with the hose - gentle rain is not a problem apparently. I did recently replace the screens. Should I caulk inside the well where the seal sits and then re affix?

Also, don't forget tightening the screws in the frame. I had a leaking bathroom window that I thought I would have to have resealed... on a hunch I pulled at the Phillips screwdriver and found all the screws to be really loose. Since tightening I haven't had a drop of water come in that window.

Digging up an old post. I noticed leaking from my bathroom window this weekend. It seems to be coming right through the actually screw head on the dog. I tightened it but its still dripping through..its an 08 280 sundancer

Clean up the seal and then lightly put some vaseline or zipper lube on the seal. The seal is probably dry.

I had this issue as well. Found out two things. One, like others have said make sure the screws are tight. The second thing is make sure all three locks are on. I was just throwing one or two onto the glass and water would come in. Took me a while to realize that all three need to be secured.

Anyone have the actual dog just break off? Mine broke off at the weld- metal on metal- I'm hoping some JB weld or something will help me get it back on there. Unfortunately, it's the bottom one and in a rainstorm even with the other two tight, it can't keep the water out.

Yes, I had one on the bottom break. Actually the mounting screw broke off flush with the metal trim ring. Easy-out was no way...I made a triangular shaped small wooden block to wedge it tight. However, I really don't need it. A couple years ago I began, every spring, scrubbing the black rubber gasket with a toothbrush and Spray 9 and cleaning them well. Then take a small amount of silicone grease and put a thin coat on the rubber. No more issues with leaking windows. I did adjust the dogs as well. I think I have an email with the info from Bomar(?) about now to order the dogs I think. If you want the info, send me a PM.

Thanks Bennett. I was trying to figure out how I could put a wedge in there...
The dog itself is fine- it's just that the metal surround is welded to the window frame. I was able to attach it today with gorilla metal glue- I tried a 60 second epoxy but couldn't get that to hold. I don't have much pressure on it thus far; I thought I would wait for more curing. I also ordered some silicone grease, and I'll try that. Thank you!
