My trim tabs are leaking oil in my bilge and I cannot figure out where it's coming from. Has anyone had them leak in the bilge and of so, where from? Looking for possible leak locations. I can't seem to trace the leakage back to a source. Don't think it's coming from the fittings that go through the transom to the cylinders.
Thanks

Are you losing fluid form the reservoir? There are really only two places that will leak out side of a hole in a line and that is at each end. Clean the entire length of the lines from the pump to the bulkhead and place white shop towels all along the run and run them up and down multiple times to see if there is a leak. It may just leak while under weigh with pressure on the tabs though. I would at the very least check the ends at the pump for tightness. Happy hunting

I can’t add much to CDs advice, but I am going to copy your plywood pad around the skeg bolts. Those are brutal on the knees!!!

Yes I tried wrapping the lines in the area where I see the oil but it shows nothing. Kind of a mystery. I can't even see any oil on the bulkhead wall.

K-DUB, yes the PO had one and I made a second for the other side. I glued 2 pieces of 1/2" plywood to get the thickness. It definitely saved the knees.
