I have a "new to me" 2007 280DA and discovered a significant leak after the last heavy rain. Water is coming in on the starboard side, in front of the TV in the V-berth area. I understand there are known issues with the bow rail connections leaking (need to tighten screws and caulk). Any other known causes or suggestions?

I am not in the water yet and my marina plans to perform a hose test; however, they are not a Sea Ray dealer.

The port lights leak. They may need to be resealed. Also, the rub rails are a known source of leaks. The screw holes may need to be sealed. Keep in mind that water can travel long distances once it enters the boat so the leak may not be near the wet spot. Do a search for threads on this topic. There are many good ones.

Check screws under Windshield Mounts, remove Black insert and check the silicon around the screws and reseal if necessary!

You might want to check the hatch. Water could enter and follow the headliner over to the side. Also check the Starboard navigation light. Otherwise have someone spray some water and see if you can see it coming in on the inside.
