I am a new owner of a 1998 210 BR. I have been trying to get the port side back to back seats to lay down flat. Is there a trick to this?

I have loosened the two wheels on the forward and backward seats, and I have found the small metal clip that locks the seats together. I still cannot get the seats to lay down. The rearward facing seat appears to be free, however the front facing seat will not move.

Any tips here? Is there another lock I am missing?

I use to have a 99 210 BR. When I first got the boat the seats were really difficult to get apart. Make sure the two knobs facing the outer wall of the boat are completely loosened. You can even pull them out if you have to. Is the clip rusted? Make sure you are looking when you pull it out so that it disengages. At that point nothing should stop the seat from pull apart except for rust on the track. Do a visual inspection and spray with a lubricant. Expect to find all sorts of crap hiding in there....
