Last week it ran great

Help, last week the port engine ran great, this week it won't start. 1993 Mercruiser 5.7 It cranks and cranks I look into the carberator and see a shot of fuel going in when we crank but won't start. It like it's not getting any spark. Any ideas, I'm not a mechanic but I am an electrician and I didn't have a meter with me to check the simple things. Going down Tuesday to work on it, what should I bring with me? Ignition coil, Distributor Cap. any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm,ignition sensor.Pull a plug and check for spark.

yup, ignition sensor good call. Thanks for the tip, $65 and a half hour work and she fired up.
