Last Week Flying F-15's

Congrats! I was always fascinated with flying fighter planes.

What are your plans now?

Doug

John, I regret that I didn't join CSR sooner to read some of your earlier posts. My company used to do the service work on the flight sims on the air base in Beaufort,SC. I would stand on the flight line and feel the vibration of the AB's on take off. You guys are the ultimate speed freaks. Bless you and your family for your service to our country. You are the definition of PATRIOT.

Hey John,

As you are floating about on your boat getting old, soiling yourself, and slowly slip into dementia, they can’t risk you accidently letting out what the government really does with those $500 hammers.

You know what they do to you next right?

Congratulations, John. Thanks for the service. It must be tough leaving behind the finest fighter ever made! It really is a rare accomplishment flying fighters as long as you did.

Enjoy your retirement (at least until Delta calls). I'm looking forward to your blog.

Pres, as usual, your compassion is showing.

John, loved the story, as usual. Enjoy the next chapters in your life and thanks for sharing the memories and experinces with us. Another thanks to your services for our family and country. Don't forget to let me know when you zip on up to Annapolis.. May take a bit longer now... :)

Congratulations John on your retirement. Thank you to you and your family for your service, sir.

My brother was a USAF officer, too. I can appreciate (from a distance) the unselfish commitment you and your family have made over these years.

Cheers to good health and calm seas in your next chapter!

Thanks again to all. As alluded to above, after more than a month on the boat, I'm going back to my airline job - with a check-of-the-month! (Military retirement)

How it ended - dinghy back to the island in flight suit to a (un-deserved) hero's welcome from 20 Sea Rays and about 50 other boats.

Sorry to disagree with you Hampton but it was WELL deserved. My brother also fly's the F15(E) so i have a huge amount of respect for all you guys do. I would have been so proud to be part of that raft up when you got back and show you the respect you so deserve and have earned. You are a true hero and the blanket of freedom i enjoy is directly related to you and all veterans and active personnel.

Cheers to you my friend!

Mike
