Wait a second? You're not going to keep us updated on what's going on? Well John, best of luck with the new boat and the new journey ahead!

Cool boat and video John. I watched a couple of the other videos that came up after yours about the Lipari 41. The Alexa's journey looked fantastic, but suggests that you may need a watermaker and some onboard auxiliary fuel tanks for added margin. If you keep a blog, post the link. Best of luck on the crossing and the business.

John, do you really think we'd kick you to the curb because you bought a blow boat? Seriously though, I wish all the best in your new endevour. Stop in and let us know how it's going. I'm sure there will be some tales to tell.

Thanks everyone......Risk and Change are good! I will always keep the www.kewlchange.com up to date! I am sure I will continue with the friends I have met on this site. Because I am a sailor now, I will always be looking for free food and beer!

Good luck, John. No need to drop off the site though....check back from time to time and keep us updated.

I'll keep up through kewlchange.com to see how you are doing. Too bad I didn't win the contest though! Do you get to crew on the trip across the Atlantic or will it be cargo?

Hell I bought a Silverton and they haven't banned me yet. No need to run off (we will keep blow-boat jokes to a minimum).

Looks like an awesome Cat! I watched some Youtube videos on it and seems like a great setup! Two couples crossed the Pacific in 22 days on one....pretty cool. Enjoy and keep in touch, Mike.

Don't leave me John, please........

Now that you are in the blow boat thing will we see a honda genny on the bow with an extension cord running back to the shore power recp????

So I take it you won't be making the LI Rendezvous again next year??

Good luck to you on your future endevours!

If you extend your trip past the middle east :) there will be free food and beer here ! :)

anyway - as a sailor from birth more or less - Ill recommend you some books by Ivar Dedekam - they are all part of my bookshelf:

http://www.amazon.com/Ivar-Dedekam/e/B001JSFKBQ

The sail and rig tuning guide is excellent It takes a lot of the "magic" out of how to trim your rig - and shows you how to trim your sails for different weather conditions - and shows what happens with illustrations. It is a true gem for any level of sailor. It is based on keelboats but the principles does apply to most sail based boats.

May the winds be with you! :)

enjoy!

/Kasper

Safe travels and Godspeed!
