Last Boat at Marina

They might have a new one in the budget for next year. If it is still in and no bilge heater the engines will be gone. With freezing weather the through hulls will freeze and crack and let water in also the bilge pumps will be useless because they will be frozen. Here is the weather.

There is NO WAY I would live in that kind of weather :wow:

beerman if you can keep us updated and let us know when they pull it out.

From the wilds of N. Idaho--I will double that "sissy". We are having a heat wave today. Up to 33degs. Only 18 inches of snow though. Go Pack!!

:thumbsup: It is what it is! I am perfectly comfy with 98 degrees and 90% humidity....Sea Ray weather:grin:

Well its gone now. I suspect they finnally drove it up river as its not on shore at the marina. To see that boat in person would make most of you cry. Vents are boken off the side, the bottom is pealing and the hard top has a huge crack in it. It never gets washed, they just keep downloading different things and go out and drive it. I think they also have a newer 390 with axius and a hard top that they were using this summer. It probably spent 8 hrs idling in our marina this fall while I was waxing my boat, it looked like they were working on the virtual anchor.

Well, this is me...one of the last of the hold-outs!!!
This was in mid-November, which was a shame as it was still nice out(at least for me), and I would have loved to attack the late season stripers again, but I was off to the next season: Hunting!!!

Sorry for the crummy picture quality..

Well its gone now....

You are correct but how are you keeping such close tabs from afar?

The company that writes the software for the Axuis and Zeus systems is in Oshkosh.

My understanding is they are developing an automated accident avoidance warning and adverse maneuver system that combines input from a variety of sensors including radar.

Based on your observation of the boats damage I think they have a few bugs to work out.

I was just up on Wednesday for a job interview in Appleton and drove by.

My most sincere best wishes on the job.

BTW, wow, your cleats look great.

I kept looking back and forth at our too boats.

Seriously, how did you get those cleats? They look great!

Note to others reading this: Scott’s boat is spending its winter directly in front of mine at the indoor heated storage facility. So if I need any spare parts over the winter……..nah!

Must be all the lake flie remains that makes em shine. I have not actually touched the cleats.

Maybe they use it for testing & info gathering??

The design of your cleats are different then mine.

My cleats are standard normal cleats.

Yours are robust and have embossing.

Plus your cleats look cool.
Uh Oh cleat envy. Thats one thing I hear from a lot of people is how nice my cleats are. You know what they say about a guy with big cleats?

Ken,

You're kidding, right? How can any marina do anything to a boat without a permission from the owner? If the boat sinks it's the owner's problem. Worst case it'll be taken away to a salvage yard (if it sinks). So, marina couldn't care less.

Just my .02c.

My marina reserves the right to do whatever is necessary to my boat, without permission, in order to take care of a dangerous or looming hazardous conditions. Depending on the severity of the situation, they may attempt to get permission, but it would all depend on how much time they thought they had, and how much effort it was determined to be. It may be the owner's problem, but I would like to think a good marina worthy of it's salt would do whatever it could, without creating additional issues, to assist it's folk. Further, I believe if they need to haul boats, the owner(s) still pay, even if there was no permission granted. Check the terms and conditions of your contract. Much of the above is clearly stated in mine.
