largest and most amazing boat i've seen on a lake

KayKook...small world, that's a very old pic of M1, 2 & 3 at Lake Travis Marina, back in the early 90s. We now own M3 & Slow Ride M1. The old wooden boat in M2 burned up while being overhauled on the dry...worker was using solvent in hold & kaboom. I think the Azimut is in an 80' x 20' slip...totally cover.

Someone launched a new Azimut 68S on Lake Travis. Hands down the most amazing boat I've seen in person.

Might as well or overkill?

About Lake Travis:

That was us that put that in. The owner of the boat is the same guy that bought my last 500 and 580.
it took two cranes to do it.

What I find striking is that you had a dollar for every gallon of water in Lake Travis you would cover just a bit over half of the $700 billion TARP bailout..:wow:

Lake Travis is 63.75 miles long, and its maximum width is 4.5 miles. The lake covers 18,929 acres, and its capacity is 1,953,936 acre-feet. The lake is considered full at an elevation of 681.1 msl. At this elevation the lake contains 382,092,882,600 gallons of water.

Scary Numbers....:smt021

That is definately no house boat. That boat is built for SPEED on the OPEN OCEAN! Way cool though!

Great pictures (as usual!) - thank you for sharing them with us. Question on how it actually got to the lake - does it actually fit or go down the highway?

Here is a little photo gallery of us putting it in.

Damn Grant...you guys do some of the coolist stuff!!

You should start your own TV show for some of the things you do. I'm sure you could sell it to the Discovery Channel or Speed Vision.

I get a kick out of looking at the galleries you have posted over the last few months.

Shoot some video of this kind of thing...I'm sure I'm not the only one that finds it interesting. You should be down here in South Florida...you would fit right in around here!!

Thanks for sharing.
