Hello, we live in Vancouver Wa and I would like to take the boat to Lake Union and the sound for a day trip. I would like to show the kids the sites. Is this a safe and easy trip in a 200 BR?

I assume you are trailering to Seattle. Launch at Newport Yacht Basin. There is plenty to see on Lake WA and Lake Union for a day trip. The locks into Puget Sound take some practise and take some time depending on traffic. Plenty of sights, restaurants, etc. on the fresh water side of the locks. That's a full day.
