lake seneca for the 4th of july week

It's a hot slow trip in late July.....all no wake and narrow in some spots. Plan on 3 to 4 hours at idle and watch water levels....not real deep between the locks and Seneca, Mike.

Seneca Falls is a wonderful stop on the canal. Free utilities and wonderful amenities for boaters (showers, rest rooms, washer/dryer).

Having grown up in the Finger Lakes region (Auburn), the locals would call "Lake Seneca" Seneca Lake. And so on (Cayuge Lake, Owasco Lake, etc.)

Other than that, I can't help you much as I haven't lived (or boated) in that area for nearly 30 years now. I do second the stop in Senca Falls - we have family still living there and the town/State has really done a nice job on the canal-front.
