Lake Powell Prop Pitch on twin engine cruisers

The common practice at Lake Powell with sportier boats is to lower the pitch to deal with the extra elevation at Lake Powell. Does that hold up with twin engine cruisers also, like a Sundancer 290 with 5.7L mercruisers? Anyone have any experience with Powell in this regard. I figure fully loaded for 4 days with 3k more elevation is going to require it?

I pitch down for Powell. My 268 is a dog getting out of the hole up there on 21's, so I drop to a 19. Im also carburated, EFI may not have the same problems.

My 270 SD came with Bravo III 26 pitch for sea level, and even that was probably more for bragging rights for top end speed. It runs better all around with 24 pitch at SL. I run 22 pitch at Powell and Denver, and it performs well.

I had a formula 280ss twin fi 350's 260hp B3 drives. I had a set of props for lower elevations (I live in Denver) like LOTO and lower pitched for Denver and higher. I don't remember the pitches now but I believe the were 4" different. Single or twin altitude effects engine power.
