My boat came back from the repair shop soaking wet inside and out. I suspect that port holes were left open and the cover was off during a big rain storm. My Richardson's chart book of Lake Michigan was on the shelf above the microwave and it was completely soaked and ruined. I need to replace the chart book and looking for advice. Should I purchase another Richardson chart book or are there others available that you would recommend?
Thanks!

I would stay with Richardson's if you travel a lot. If you don't, the cost seems like a waste for all the extra areas and ports of call. It might be better to get a back up GPS like Navionics for your smart phone or tablet for 30 bucks.

With a Garmin 740s and Navionics app on the iPad I rarely use my Richardson's chart book. But I would still replace it if it was lost with the same.

Thanks Dan and Mike. I like having a paper chart on board and will replace the Richardsons book. I will invest in a water proof cover this time.
