Canadian and U.S. Utilities Agree To Pump Warm Water Discharges Into Lake Michigan to Prevent Winter Freezing!!
In an unprecedented attempt to keep shipping lanes open, promote year round use of Lake Michigan and keep marinas open year round, US and Canadian Departments of the Interior have ordered all shore based utility companies to direct all warm water discharges directly into Lake Michigan. This was sent to me from the Mariners network, April fools! they got me...

First pic is our marina with ice damage. Second is Sunday off S pier in Muskegon. Apparently the power plant hasn't started the discharge yet. I was caught too..... Terrace Point 2 3-25-14.jpg

Gotcha!

Ice Damage.jpgHere are some of the floating piers at McKinley Marina. The docks have sheared right off of the floats. Assuming the flow starts today! Cant wait for the warm water discharge here too!
