Lake Michigan cruising

Hi....Do you trailer that boat often and what do you tow it with? I'm "praying" to be getting back into trailer boating-camping and have experience but not with a 34'er.
Also.....from kayak to a 34'er? Thanks

I purchased this boat in Detroit and towed it back to WI. Trailering something this size is not a fun process and does require permits. I tow it at least 3 to 4 times a year and does require some prep. When I pulled it back from Detroit I pulled the arch off completely not sure it would make all the overpasses. The boat measures on the trailer about 14' to the top of the Arch without electronics. When I tow it where I know the roads I just clear the electronics off the arch. I cross tie lines from the bow rails to the arch to push any low hanging overhead utility lines out of the way so they do not get caught on the forward leaning arch. I have a 2000 F250 with a 7.3L Diesel. The truck has after market programming, gauges and transmission cooler that I put on this year. The transmission cooler has been a great upgrade as I use to be fearful of over heating. I have 131K miles on it and still running strong. My truck rarely moves unless it is working very hard either pulling my boat, a friends or something heavy. click here for a picture with it all loaded up.

I love boating and being able to RV on the water. Good luck!
