Hello All,

Am considering relocating to the Lake Marion area. Presently own a 2006 270 Amberjack, LOA 30 foot.
Can anyone from this area recommend a nice Marina with water & shore power at the slips? On average, what are the yearly prices?

Am not totally comitted to this area of South Carolina, but do want to be in fresh water. Any other large lakes to recommend?

Thank you,

Bill

If you don't want to take the boat to salt I would recommend Lake Murray. Slips are very reasonable, probably looking at 2500-4k per year depending on what you want.

I second the recommendation for Lake Murray. It is one of our favorite vacation spots. Nice body of water.

Bad Choice. Lake Marion has only 1 marina, I'm sure you could get a good deal, but, the lake is full of stumps, water level is low more months than not. I visit lake marion only when I want to go down the cooper river to Charleston. Keep boat at Murray and get a trailer. Or keep it in Charleston, if you like coastal boating. Santee lakes are great for small boat fishing. Bad for pleasure boating.

Hello all,

Just wanted to say thank you for all your comments and information.
