Its almost time for our 4th annual Lake Keowee Raftup! This year is going to be bigger and better as I am networking through a couple of new avenues to get the word out. Tshirts will again be offerred, at a lesser $ and a lesser minimum order. So, we should be able to have them for those that wanted them last year and for any newcomers. They will be available the day of the raftup. The exact location will be determined at a later time depending on the interest level that is generated. We have done it on Sunday of Labor Day weekend in the past but will go with majority rule. Hope to see you out there. Its a great time to meet new boating friends and hang out with old ones! Maybe we will make a calendar pic again for next year! :smt038

Just uploaded a picture from each year to the group.

You are welcome. Now who can I ride with this year? Thinking of pulling the RV over for the weekend??

Thought we might try to do a Saturday, Sunday, Monday trip???

Come on out and join us for food, fun and fellowship with people from all over the lake and nearby areas for the fourth annual Keowee Labor Day weekend raft up. Our raft up originated through friendships made on ClubSeaRay.com in 2008 (we made the calendar the following year) but is open to all types of boats. We have a great time fellowshipping. Make new friends and visit with old ones. The location for the raft up is to be determined based of number of boats and will be announced later. There are links on facebook under "Lake Keowee Raft up Group" and on the ClubSeaRay.com thread "Lake Keowee Labor Day Raft up".

To RSVP (other than on the above links) or for more info:

This sounds like a great time. We plan on being there at least on Saturday. Hope to have the old 225 ready.

Thanks

How do you all "tie up" or anchor where ever we get together?? Been up on the lake many times but never stopped anywhere for an entire day. Just want to make sure I have all the stuff along we'll need.

Thanks

Judy and I went and checked out campgrounds Saturday. We are going to try and camp at "High Falls County Park" Mid lake area. Any body going to be in that area?

We will get there Sat and probably be in the mid lake area overnighting on the hook. Sun after the raft up, we will most likely dock at Keowee Key.

Fenders, rope, floats, food and drink is all you need! If you think you may want to break away, just be ready to set your own anchor nearby and float over until you are ready to leave. It's always a good time. Some people stay all day, some, all night and others just stop by. Whatever you want.

That sounds good. So the "raft up" is Sunday?? I was under the apparently false impression that Keowee does not allow overnight on the water camping.

If that is not the case then that certinly opens up a whole new world of adventure for me. Lucky me I'm just an hour away in Greenville so overnight camping on the boat at Keowee would be sweet.

Thanks
