Greetings Boaters!

As the summer is winding down we thought it would be a great time to do something we don't get a lot of chances to do. On August 15th we will be leading a waterfall tour of Lake Jocasse. We will be meeting up at
Devils Fork State Park at 10:00AM and plan on spending the day exploring the lake.

Our plans for the day are somewhat open, with the main goal of enjoying all that Lake Jocassee has to offer. From the incredible views of the mountains to waterfalls and ample room to swim and play we should have a great time while there.

You will need to bring your boat, food and drink, and a willingness to enjoy the day and have some fun. Please RSVP to Sea Ray of Greenville by replying to this email or calling us at 864-236-9005 before August 13th.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Ric,
Thanks for the info. CSR has a trip/raftup planned for Jocassee and Keowee over the labor day weekend. Tell anybody that if they want to come back and join in just drop by the site.
ps: If you have a garmin on your boat could you please record your track and email it to me.

Great Chuck. :smt038 I have a map but you might have just earned "Jocassee tour guide" status for Labor Day weekend! LOL

Anyone going on this trip please check the clearance of trees to the ramp in Devils Fork Park. Let me know what you find or may already know. Thanks! I need to make sure our arch can get through for the Labor Day weekend.

Kes, What's up, now you tell us we have to watch out for limbs. I heard about your last cruise directorship when you could not find the right canal for the plantation and Sadler was having to duck for the limbs. (Grin)

It was worth going in for and we made it! :smt038 Those were small and he had us in our smaller boat in scouting first. We need that now with the bigger ride. :smt001

The road going into Devils Fork State Park has curves and hills but you should not have trouble with limbs hitting your arch. There is a large campground at the park and people take the larger fifth wheel trailers in there. You can call the park and make sure. It is a beautiful lake. Hope you have a great time.

Thanks Larry. I have been there a few times but never with anything the size we have now. But makes sense with the Rv's and such. Its really a BEAUTIFUL lake! I love it!

Sorry Sadler. Am glad you thought it worth it. Wouldnt want to be in the doghouse with Hey Babe

Heck yea, that's not a good place to be...in trouble with Hey Babe I mean.

Sadler, have you had the "talk" with HB yet? Oh...she will not be attending this event huh.
Whew, not sure if Frayed Knot is on her bettr side yet! LOL.

I did have a talk with her. She understands now. No biting the smaller boats. She's a little sad she won't be on Jocassee, but I've promised another big cruise soon. She's getting oil changes on the engine and gen this weekend, so that should make her happy.

Wonderful.

I had Frayed Knot put in a wet slip for the weekend so I can clean her up. After the last weekend party, I was a bad boy and put her away dirty. She'll be happy to be all squeeky clean and ready for this trip.

Ric,

How did the cruise go? What is the lake level like? Where you able to boat up the falls? Where are the pictures? (& Garmin Track(Grin)) Come on man your dropping the ball, it has already been 48 hours and no pictures. Kes would have already had a slide show running yesterday. (lol)

With the lake down 16+-% how was it? Were you able to get to the falls? What was the ramp like?
