I heard an interview with Lady Gaga once and was very impressed with her, underneath all that theatrical nonsense there is a very talented singer. One of her hits "Edge of Glory" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_GMgkcc2KM was describing the emotion she went through while sitting at the hospital comforting her Grandfather as her Grandmother passed away. It was very touching and I would be proud to have her as my Daughter. Don't get me wrong the music she sings is does not float my boat but I do appreciate her talent.

That interview was by Howard Stern. Great interview, she played a piano in studio and sang that song; amazing. She is a very talented, educated and well spoken girl.

I agree with you that that much of the lyrics today are not for young ears. This reminds me of a funny incident, years ago I was telling my adolescent daughter how I felt that music was much better in my day. I had to spend the next hour or two listening to her repeat over and over "I am the walrus koo-koo-ka-choo" I surrendered!

I have to agree with Gunn and dicor having been involved with the business end of music for over 20 years as a hobby and at time to pay the bills I feel she is talented both as a song writer and composer. Only time will tell how she makes out but I think she will be able to eat from a lot of her work for quite some time.
