ladder tread

I had a large guest aboard yesterday and the swim ladder did not survive the stress. Is there a source for part number 1848229 Lower Ladder Tread or do I have to get the entire part number 1798013 Ladder? Oh... and thanks for all the great ideas and resources I have received from this forum!

Are you talking about the teak tread? I'm sorry I don't have a parts listing or book.

No, it's a black rubber (?) or plastic (?) tread.

You're dealer can get it for you.

I'm not sure who makes the ladder (check the ladder - may be some ID marks on it) - but maybe GG Schmitt & Sons or Windline. You could try contacting them, first. If it's GG, they'll likely send one out to you no charge. Not sure about Windline, but they're a good company, too.

I'm missing the same tread on my lower ladder step. Were you able to locate a replacement tread without buying the entire ladder?

I lost one a couple years ago. My local dealer ordered one for me. It seems like it was $10 or so. Just put some marine caulk in the groove and snapped it back on.
