I recently completed a stereo upgrade and as part of that process, changed the use of one of my Vimar switches. It is located in the companionway. Each of the switches has a matching label identifying what it controls, but this has now changed.

Anyone know who made the labels and if they are still doing it? I don't want to have to change out 5 other labels if I can simply find the OEM vendor and make 1 new one.

You might try Superior Marine in Everett WA. They did some dash panel work for me, and they also do a lot of custom work with various switches and wiring. Send them an email with that picture and see if they might be able to help you out - it's worth a try.

Old thread, but wondering if anyone has found them since. Also added a few new switches and wanted to find source for the labels. It’s my OCD.

No but I’m with you on this. I’ve tried to match them but it’s printed on thick gray vinyl material and I don’t know how

You might try Blue Seas - they make label kits and they are made from a "thicker" vinyl to withstand being outdoors - they look nice.

Funny, I have several of these in my house and have never wished they had labels on them, yet I can't seem to do without them on the boat.

Crazy how hard it is to find the factory labeling... or what I assume is factory labels. I have dug everywhere!!!

Do those Blue Seas ones we talked about not work for you? You could always just replace all of them with the Blue Seas so they match... or check with a local sign shop about making them for you.

I haven't tried ordering them yet but i can... the issue I have is that all my switches even after you peal the old sticker off have the outline of the words because they have been on there for so long. So covering them really isn't an option.

I guess I could just replace all the switches but the two kinds of fonts would drive me crazy.

Also now that I look at it, they don't have any labels that really make sense for the lights like the factory ones.

It's not the biggest deal in the world, I don't really need labels that bad, but just figured it would be easiest thing ever to just buy factory labels.

Flounder Pounder/www.searay-parts.com has those stickers in sheets and some single ones for sale that are old stock from the dealership/plants.

Good find, Cocktail. That's about the only way to find them... if you're lucky... since they haven't been made for a while.

About the only other thing I can think of is to contact Sea Ray and ask who they originally used to make them... and IF they are still in business, you might be able to purchase them.

I've used a label maker with clear tape and white lettering too. If you look at some of those decals they are selling for $5, that is all they are. The Sea Ray OEM ones are black plastic and were professionally printed.
