Going to install the KVH M1 tomarrow and have a question about the 12 volt connection. From what I have read I can pop off the face of the gain control for the Glowjunk and just connect instead of trying to run the 12 volt wire to the box. Anyone else do this? Thanks

Just check the amperage on that circuit and that the wire gauge is adequate.

Power draw is over 4 amps. The little amp on a Glomex probably draws nothing close to that. I doubt the existing wiring will be adequate unless it was oversized to begin with.

My 320 has a cigarette lighter inside the shelf with sliding door right above the galley sink. If I recall correctly, it’s 15Amp. This would be nice shortcut for you as well, providing you have the same 12v outlet.
