KVH M1 Tracvision Setup

We recently purchased a 2006 360 Sundancer. The factory installed system with two receivers was given to us in a bag! Previous owner only used cable connection from their marina. How do I reinstall and where does the factory place the components? We have the 2 receivers, 1 power inverter, and cables. There are 3 TVs on board.

First and Foremost, Welcome to CSR! I have installed three KVH systems but would hesitate to try to explain at this point. 2 receivers and three TV's will require two TV's to be on the same receiver. Do some planning. I would first contact KVH and get the installation book. None of the installations that I have been involved with were on a 360 so I can't help with the location. THe one thing I will tell you is that running the cables is always fun. NOT.

Does anyone know if this unit can be used with anything but Direct TV. Just recently purchased a US boat and want to use the KVH M1 in Canada.

M1 is direct TV the M1DX can be used with dish or Direct.

Go to KVH website for all your questions or just call them as KVH is very helpful.

The first thing you need to do is look at the KVH site and see if the M1 will cover your location. They have a map that shows the footprint of the satellite coverage. You sure do not want to pull the cable to find out you need a different dome.

Installing is easy. I am currently doing this on my boat. Pull the coax to the dome mounting location and then to the receiver. Apply power to the receiver then program. You will need a 3 digit code for your area which KVH can give you. To get Direct to add you correctly call KVH and they will get the account setup properly. Direct's phone reps have NO idea what a boat is and will not get it right. Ask me how I know.
