Here's the issue two weeks ago I used my generator all weekend with no issue's. This Past Saturday I started it up because we lost power at the dock. the meter on the electrical panel was showing 150 volts. On shore power it shows 120 volts I'm thinking the voltage regulator may be shot. Looking for advise.

This Past Saturday I started it up because we lost power at the dock. the meter on the electrical panel was showing 150 volts. On shore power it shows 120 volts I'm thinking the voltage regulator may be shot. Looking for advise.

mine did that, it was the VR. what happened to me was the water pump mounting bolts backed out and it was spraying water onto the control box. there was a lot of salt around the pump, and the salt got into the box and corroded a the breaker and the VR. I check my pump periodically to insure it is firmly sealed and mounted.
