Our new to me 390 Sundancer has a Kohler Gen Set. I press start button and it turns over a few times but no start, 2nd time it turns over a few times, no start, 3rd time, turns over a couple times then fires off and runs fine. Is that normal. It has fresh plugs. Once warm, it fires off on first time. Just making sure. Thanks!

Mine's a bit older (Westerbeke) but this is about what it takes to start. I have a single button setup. Flip switch on, wait for "ignition alarm", crank for a few seconds, wait, crank again for a few seconds and it will either start or need one more cycle.

On my former '99 with the two button setup (pre-heat/prime) I did not have to cycle quite like this. Not sure why the difference but it is what it is.

Mine is the same way. First time seems to prime it. Usually catches on the second. Occasionally needs a third. Runs fine once it is started and if warm will start right away.
