I have a Kohler 7.3E gen set with approx 600 hours on it. I recently purchased the boat and the boat has been sitting up for awhile. Sometime this week I will be giving the gen a tune up; oil/filter change, water/fuel seperator and spark plugs.
The gen runs smooth until I put a heavy load on it then it boggs down and it sounds like the RPM's never sppeds up to accomodate the load. I had a compression check done and that was fine. Could it be a carb issue or could it be the lay-up and a quick tune-up could resolve this matter?
