Do you mean an extra set? You should already have one.

But... Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong... I believe the law states that you must have one on board... But you don't have to wear it like PWC's. And, maybe this changes from state to state.
 
Yeah just an extra one in my toolbox. Not sure how often they break or get damaged and I heard that without it you can not start the boat up.
 
Some... yes. Yours... no - it will still work without it. Take a close look at how your current one works. You'll see it's just a loop that fits around the actual switch. If it isn't there, the switch can still stay in the "run" position. My lanyard is not attached - it's somewhere in the boat.
 
If you come to Alabama you must wear it attached to you if your boat is 24' or less. I got a ticket in my old center console because I did not have it attached to my person. Check the law in GA. The marine police here use it as an excuse to pull you over for a "check".
