Looking for a recommendation for a marina in Kewaukee, Wisconsin off Lake Michigan for a one night visit in August. Preferably a deep water marina. I think there are 2-3, but which one is best? Easy access, docks, access to town etc? Thanks in advance.

Were I in that neck of the woods I'd skip Kewaunee and go straight to Sturgeon Bay. That place is awesome. And spend more than 1 night :)

I know that's not what you were looking for but Kewaunee is not a port I regularly hear folks making a destination. Sturgeon Bay, Port Washington, Sheyboygan...those are more popular.

Thanks, this is the return trip home. Already booked at Sturgeon, Egg Harbor and Washington Island on the way up. Those you mentioned are too far south from Kaps Marina on Washington Island for a one day ride. We're taking it nice and easy this trip. Manitowoc is another option but staying there also on the way north, so was hoping for another destination to check out. ;)

I assume you're trip starts/ends in Indiana? Another wild idea for you - go from Sturgeon Bay across to Frankfort. Return south on the other side of the lake. Frankfort is fantastic. Pentwater, Ludington, Grand Haven, South Haven....all a fun drive south on the east side of the lake...

Yes home is the southern tip in Indiana. How come I knew you were going to suggest that? Haha....love that side of the lake and did it last year so wanted to explore the other side this year. Plus, the admiral is still a little squeamish about crossing the lake. At this point she likes to see land....I'm working on that.

I think you'd only lose site of land for a 30 minutes or so crossing to Frankfort. Distract her, mix a drink :)
