Has anyone gone through from the north side this season? What does the channel look like and how badly shoaled in is it?

WOW! I don't think I've seen the narrows frozen over since the late 70's early 80's. I also agree with the fishing folks around the pilings, had a situation once transiting the narrows where we had oncoming traffic larger than us so elected to move to the opposite side of the piling on the main channel to let the larger vessel have the channel and a boat fishing the pilings came from behind the piling directly in front of us and I was forced to stop and reverse motion to keep from hitting the fishing boat, and even after avoiding the fishing boat,(the fishing boat made no attempt to move to help avoid a collision), they were less than friendly if you get my drift.Saw a picture of the Narrows last night on Facebook, it was frozen over! Mears posted it. Do think global warming may be over? Still in the water, hope to get down there soon, maybe when it is in the high 30's some weekend soon.

Here is the newest update from our marina
I'm enlisting the help of all slip holders: send transients to our marina for the summer! Here's how it works, if you the slip holder invite a friend to come stay this season as a transient you will receive a $25 gift card good for Red Eye's or the fuel dock. Just call the main office and tell us which dates your friend will be coming, then have them call us and make the reservation. Be sure that they mention you (slip holders name) that recommended us when they call. Your gift card can be redeemed the day of the transients arrival.
