:smt024 Anybody out there gone thru the Kent Narrows lately. I understand they moved some of the channel markers and it is narrow at some points. We are trying to hit Kent Island Yacht Club at slack tide on Sat. June 30th. I would like to go after the first low tide, before all the crazies come out of their self induced comas from the night before. Can a 340 SDA clear at low tide. We will be entering from the north.

Yes, I have been through there twice in the last 3 weeks. It is shoaling and is very narrow at one point but easily passable. the channel narrows to about 40' at one point so you may need to take turns if there is a lot of traffic. it is well marked . I would only be concerned in a deep draft full keel sail boat with a slow underpowered engine during a running tide... wait, there are alot of those in Kent Narrows--give them some room through the channel as well as the bridge areas--the current really rips . enoy the trip

We went through last Sunday from the north with no problems, left the Crazy Lady at Seven Seas to check into an over heating problem we are having with the engines. Was bit narrow at one point, no worse than Botkin inlet. 33ec is right on about the current. Hopefully we can pick our boat up this weekend.
