keeping it clean

Just finished cleaning cockpit carpet and I am thinking about waterproofing it with Starbrite waterproofing with the hope that this will help keep it from getting dirty so fast. Has anyone tried this and if so did it help ?

I sprayed mine with the 303 waterproofing spray as well as the carpet runners in the cabin. Yes, it does help. Still do not allow red wine...

Thanks, boat is good ! I am having all the upholstery redone this winter. Larry and Judy just finished their new house so it won't be long until he is back on the lake with a new boat. Chuck still has your old 420 and had new canvas in closure put on this past summer.
