KEC DVD Region Code

[Gidders]

Anyone know the region code for the above DVD player. For reasons unknown and despite the boat being imported by an Australian agent the DVD player won't play Australian DVDs. www.videohelp.com doesn't' list it

Not sure if this is for the unit you have but Google turned it up:
KEC DVD-3 DVD Region switching
• Unplug IR eye from back of unit.
• Eject CD or DVD from player.
• Press “0422” on remote control, this brings current region code
on TV screen.
• Press “0” then “enter” on remote.
• Press “play” on remote.
• Unit is now region-free for DVD playback.
