The diesel landlubbers have been raving about this product for treating diesel trucks & excavators. Was on their website & a lot of good testimonials also. Has anyone used it? Happy with the results?

I can't speak to the efficacy of the K100 because I have never used it, but I do use Power Service Diesel Kleen in my truck with great success. What troubles if any are you trying to avoid by using fuel treatment? Is it a water issue, or lack of sulfur/cetane? Sticky injectors? I like the fact that the PS Diesel Kleen and it's anti-gel winter formula is always available at Wal-Mart, and cheaper than anywhere else at that. I use it because I figure hundreds of trucking companies can't all be wrong!

Ten Years, had a bad carbon problem due to a dirty bottom, it is clean now. Still have a small black soot problem and thought this might help, also going to clean the air seps. Never used a treatment before

Black soot at idle is most likely clogged injector tips. Black soot at cruise is most likely lack of boost air to properly burn all fuel present. I threw my 13yr old AirSeps in the garbage and put new ones on. Aftercoolers cleaned. My personal preference is Howes diesel additive for routine lubricity and injector cleaning properties. I would not routinely run a winter (red bottle) type anti-gel ... unless purposely working algae out of the system. Just my .02 worth, based on a lot of diesel truck and a few seasons (>2000 miles on plane) of diesel boat experience, including algae issues initially.

Mark, Thanks for advise. The Lady is 14 yr old & not sure if the other PO's ever changed. Will order new air seps next week from our local Cat dealer. Not going to use the stabilizer until she is tucked away for the winter.
