Went camping on Alder Alder Lake in Washington State. Not technically an official mooring, but it's out of the way and not blocking usable shoreline, so the campground hosts let it slide (another reason it helps to be kind to people).

The ONLY downside is it's not completely protected from wakes. If a big wake boat roars through dragging it's heavy @ss in the water, the obscenely large wake does rock my boat a bit. Proper tension in the bungie is key to keeping it away from the rocks.

Gorgeous spot. When we anchor in spots like that we drop the anchor off the shore about 100ft off, make sure its set, and then back into the shore and tie only the stern to the shore. That way waves hit the bow, not the side. Looks like your spot may be too deep for that though without a lot of anchor rode.

Here are a couple of my tie-ups to shore in the Georgian Bay and North Channel area.

The top one I had to drop anchor then tie to the shore on each side as the cut wasn't wide enough to swing. A couple other places the rock wall is deep enough and you can drop some fenders and just tie to the wall.

OP, what is the line of floats on the left of the picture?

Looks like a 3 beer job just to get the boat tied up for the night :)

Where the boat is in the pic it's 50ft deep. Most of Alder Lake is 100-200ft deep and steep banks. Very difficult to anchor.

Looks like a barrier to keep boats away from the dam.

That sure is a beautiful place

Silent, I wasn't familar with Alder Lake so googled it. Nice straight shot (almost) from Graham to the lake. Beautiful place to play, thanks for taking us along.
