Well after going and looking at this boat for the 3rd time I finally broke down and just bought it. Its a 1994 Sea Ray 200 Bowrider with a Mercruiser 5.7 Alpha One. The engine hasn't been ran in 3 years but the owner showed me the receipts and some tags that were still on the engine with the drain plugs attached. ( I have never seen that before.) I thoroughly checked the engine for outward signs of a bulging or cracked block and didn't see anything. All of the fluids were good in the outdrive and in the engine. The interior it is in great shape. The seats, side panels don't have any rips or tears and the dash has no cracks. The floor is another story. The owner kept this boat outside with the bow down for the last 3 years and the floor around the ski-locker is pretty soft. Also a tree limb smashed out the port side window. I was thinking about flipping this boat but I may keep it. I only paid 1000 bucks for it and it came with a 2006 Master Craft Tandem trailer with surge disk brakes. The trailer is pretty rough for being only 3 years old and is a little big for the boat, but that can be fixed...

Good for you my friend. I still have my 2002 176 and I love that little boat. I think the size you got is the perfect trailer boat size. you can do anything with that platform. Enjoy it! I hope the winter goes by quickly for you.

I would say you done well for $1000.....the trailer is worth that.

Nice steal for 1000 bucks. With some elbow grease and a little repair work I would imagine you can certainly flip her for a profit! Love the 5.7 in that too!

Since my new boat didnt come with a battery,I decided to hook it up to my truck via jumper cables. As oon as I got in I started pushing buttons and hitting switches and it was cool and all until I found the light switch. This boat is classy, I like it. Everything works gauges, horn, stereo,Etc. I just spent the last half hour sitting in the boat listening to music and making engine noises.:D

Here's a couple of pics of the engine. I took the belts off because they weren't gonna last long. I'm going to get new ones along with a new battery in the morning...

Alpheus,

Nice find! And with the 5.7, that 200BR should scoot right along! I have a 1992 200BR with a 5.0, and it is no slouch. You should be very happy with your purchase, especially at that price.

Good Luck!
John

Thats a good deal for a grand. I love the interior design. Big difference from the 93'. Good lookin' boat though.
